I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist living and working in the Austin area. I beganseeing clients as an intern in 2012, and from that very beginning I saw a pattern. Clients came to therapy feeling fragmented, isolated, lonely and disconnected. It has become a passion of mine to remind people of their wholeness, and their interdependence. I perceive people as an interconnected system - the internal system of mind/body/soul as well as the interconnectedness of family, society, and the larger web of life. We are animals among animals, doing our best to move through this world with joy and grace. It is my pleasure to walk alongside someone as they navigate their “one wild and precious life”.
My personal roles as a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a friend have only served to deepen my appreciation for the joys and pains of living a full and connected life.
My work with therapists and parents is focused on tending to what is while consciously practicing chosen ways of being - so that we can move forward in wholeness. I draw from interpersonal neurobiology, trauma and attachment science, psychodrama, yoga, ecopsychology, and systems theory. My approach is largely experiential - my clients can expect to “do” as much as they “talk”. I believe in connection that leads to action for an integrated experience.
You are always welcome to contact me to ask questions, learn more about what I do, or to set up a consultation or appointment. I hope to hear from you.
